Two juried fine arts shows – the Stamford Art and Crafts Festival and the 22nd Annual Vivian And Stanley Reed Marine Show – are scheduled for Stamford in the upcoming weeks.
The 22nd Annual Vivian and Stanley Reed Marine Show, a multimedia juried exhibit, will be at the Townhouse Gallery, 39 Franklin Street, and online from June 25 though July 28. All entries will have a nautical theme. A reception will be held Saturday, June 25 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Also, this will be the seventh year for the Stamford Art and Crafts Festival at Harbor Point. The free event has been scheduled for late July. More than 100 fine arts and crafts artists are expected to display their work and sell to over 14,000 visitors. The event format will follow the shows the Bruce Museum presents in Greenwich.
All the museum-quality work will be hand made by the attending artist and juried. All media has been accepted, and many artists will offer bios and present demonstrations and educational information. Guests who find a particular artist’s work appealing at festivals like this often ask for their business card so they can get in touch with them after the event.
Stamford Art Festival will be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, July 23 and 24 at Harbor Point Park and Boardwalk, 1 Harbor Point Street. The event will take place rain or shine.
