Stamford enjoys holiday events
Stamford will have at least three Christmas-themed options during the upcoming season.
Starting Friday, November 29, the 16th annual Greenwich Reindeer Festival and Santa's Workshop will open at Sam Bridge Nursery, 437 North Street, Greenwich. Santa will be available for photos, and guests may have meet-and-greets with the nursery's three live reindeer in their new stable. Santa's workshop will offer activities such as reindeer coloring and letter writing stations.
Some of the proceeds from the Santa pictures will go to the non-profit organization Kids in Crisis. The opening weekend for the festival will be on November 29 and 30 from noon to 6:00 pm. The event will run until Christmas Eve.
Stamford's Palace Theater will be presenting A Taste of Ireland: A Celtic Christmas. The lively performance will include acapella tap battlers, storytelling, and melodic folk mashups of traditional tunes, ballads, and carols.
Stationery printers often use pictures of Christmases around the world as subjects for their holiday cards. A Celtic Christmas will be presented on Wednesday, December 18 beginning at 7:30 pm. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. The Palace Theater is located at 61 Atlantic Street.
Finally, a Silver Bell Holiday Party 2024 has been planned with festive dancing, three-course buffet-style food, and an open bar. Formal dress required. Admission is $70 per person and is available on Eventbrite. It will be on Friday, December 13 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm at the Manzo Italian & Argentinean Restaurant, 78 West Park Place.
