What's Happening in Stamford, CT…

Stamford enjoys events with foreign flavor

Three events coming in early March will have Mardi Gras, Albanian, and Indian themes.

A Viva Carnaval will be a five-course dinner with pairing prepared by Mexican chef Eduard Zorrilla and Peruvian mixologist Carlos Rutz.

Each of the five expertly created courses will be paired with premium tequila from cocktails to neat pours. Vocal performances, samba dancers and musicians will add to the evening's ambience.

This Viva Carnaval dinner and pairings will take place Tuesday, March 4th from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Puerto Vallarta, 230 Tresser Boulevard.

Westover Magnet Elementary School, 412 Stillwater Avenue, will be holding a Holi-Festival of Colors. The program will celebrate Holi, an Indian festival celebrating love and spring, with traditional Indian attire, Bollywood dance music, food, decorations and performances.

Holi-Festival of Colors will be Saturday, March 8th from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

An Albanian Spring Celebration will be at Cka Ka Qeilu, 15 Clark Street. This, too, will be a celebration of spring, coming on the eve of Dita e Veres the Albanian Spring Festival.

The museum-style restaurant will feature a tasting menu originally designed by the restaurant's head chef for World Affairs Council guests.

This Albanian Spring dinner will take place on Thursday, March 13th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm,

Organizers often get flyer printing done to put up in workplaces and neighborhoods to promote their events to locals.
