Stamford club to host 5K event
Boys and Girls Club of Stamford will be holding its 2022 Stamford Boys and Girls Club Corporate 5K in mid-May.
Online in-person and virtual individual registrations are $40 until May 1, $45 from then to May 13, and $50 until and including race day. In-person registration may be done at the site beginning at 5:30 pm. Corporate teams must register online and registration for them will close at 8:00 am on Tuesday, May 17.
Swag will include race T-shirts imprinted with the Boys and Girls Club logo design. They will only be available at the site beginning at 5:30 pm.
The race has been moved to the Village this year. The flat course will take runners through scenic water views in Stamford’s South End.
Registration and packet pick-up will begin at 5:30 pm followed by the race start at 6:45 pm. An awards ceremony will begin at 7:50 pm.
Team awards will be for top three overall men’s and women’s opens, men, and women’s masters and CEOs. Individual awards will go to first female and male finishers in nine age categories.
After-race amenities will include free drinks courtesy of the Village Wheel Restaurant. Food will be available for purchase from onsite food vendors.
