Local professionals have plenty to look forward to with the Stamford Chamber of Commerce hosting both the 13th Annual Legislative Luncheon and the April Business Networking Breakfast during the month of April.
Being held at none other than the Sheraton Stamford Hotel on the 20th, members of the business community are invited to come and hear what Governor Malloy has to say about the goals he has for the rest of 2012. According to the website, his talk is going to cover what’s been happening in the world of legislation and will be addressing the primary topics that have been discussed this year.
The three topics that the governor is addressing will include: financial management and responsibility, the amount of openness Connecticut has for businesses as a whole, and lastly, there will also be some discussion on the education system and what’s being done to improve it.
Priced at $40 for members, $50 for those who aren’t a part of the Stamford Chamber, and $400 for a table for ten, the Legislative Luncheon is the place to be for those who want to gain a little more information on what lawmakers have been working on in the past year as well as what the agenda is for the rest of 2012.
For an event that will likely require some business card printing, business owners have the option of attending the April Business Networking Breakfast and interacting with one another in a laid-back setting. Set at a slightly lower price of $15 for members and $20 for non-members, this is another low-cost opportunity to network.
