Local dance studio steps into 2024
Dance with Maria, a studio here in Stamford, will be holding an After New Year’s Afternoon Dance Brunch one day, and a Beginner’s Salsa series the next.
Dancers of all skill levels are invited to attend The After New Year’s Afternoon Dance Brunch, which will be an in-person afternoon of dance, music, and food. DJs will spin classic and latest hustle, bachata, and salsa tunes. There will be a chance that guests will get an icebreaker dance lesson.
A meal and light refreshments will be provided when dancers stop to catch their breath. General admission tickets are available for $35 on the event’s website.

After New Year’s Afternoon Dance Brunch will be Sunday, January 7 from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm at Dance with Maria, 75 3rd Street.
The next day, Monday, January 8, Dance with Maria studio will start its basic eight-week Beginner’s Salsa series social practice and dance class. The class will teach basics and timing. To make the most of the experience, it is advised that students purchase dance shoes.
The eight-week series will cost $300, or $385 with shoes included. A two-times-a-week practice and workshop will be $470.
