Health expo returns for 12th year
The Annual Health Wellness & Lifestyles Expo 2023 will be returning to Stamford in early September for its twelfth year. This year’s theme will be Go, Gather, Grow.
The event will feature over 120 exhibitors, free health screenings, 10 different zones, free flu shots and eight to ten group classes.
A pre-expo “Kids Helping Kids” 5k Walk/Run fundraiser will open at 8:30 am at Kosciuszko Park, 200 Elmcroft Road, Harbor Point for registration. The race will begin at 9:30 am. Participants are invited to the KHK tent on the Boardwalk for chances to win prizes and for refreshments. Online registration is $40 until August 26 when it will go up to $45 until September 8 and registration on race day will be to $50.
The Welcome, Opening Ceremony, sponsor booths, and the 10 zones will take place on the boardwalk beginning at 10:00 am.
Zones include Pet Wellness, Yoga and Stretching, Group Fitness, Kids, Healthy Home, Food Truck, Restaurant food and beverage zones, and Eco-Friendly Wine, Spirits and Craft Beer. The Pickleball America Zone will offer free clinics, a “Beat the Pro” and guests will get the opportunity to try the game.
Every so often, people supporting events like this get a little flyer printing done and put flyers up in their neighborhoods and places of work to get the word out.
