All happening in Downtown Stamford

Downtown Stamford is currently aglow with three holiday events.

Holiday Wish is an interactive illuminated 20,000 square foot walkthrough village composed of eight holiday-themed areas. The musical journey through the village begins with a make-a-wish Santa’s mailbox. Next are the elves’ quarters where the reindeer live, a photo opportunity, and the Twinkling Forest. Frozen in Time with penguins and wolves, Tunnel of Light, and the North Pole with Santa’s throne come next, ending with the Christmas in America shop.

Adult tickets are $29.50 while children’s tickets are $19.50 and kids under two years old can get in free. Holiday Wish Stamford Town Center is at 100 Grayrock Place.

Also, 25 businesses are participating in this year’s Deck the Downtown. The contest is currently in progress and passers-by may still vote online for their favorite decorated storefront. The grand prize will be $700, and an honorable mention is $500. Voting will end on December 18.

Winners of contests like this often take pictures of their prize-winning store fronts to local Print shops to be used in advertising for the following holiday season.

Holiday Stroll, an illuminated showcase, is currently underway too, as guests enjoy the all-new walkthrough wonderland of interactive displays. Doughnuts, hot chocolate, and cider will be available for purchase. Adult tickets are $20, and kids get in for free. The Stroll takes place from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Mill River Park, 1010 Washington Boulevard until December 24.
