Newtown winery to host holiday events
Crossing Vineyards and Winery in Newtown is hosting a weekend of drop-in Christmas-themed events this December.
The weekend will begin with a Friday evening sip and shop. Attendees can purchase wine, other drink specials and light food at the bar while browsing and shopping at a selection of vendor tables. These will feature Newtown-based small businesses. Vendors often have business cards available for those interested in their products.
The vineyard is also participating in the annual Bucks County Wine Trail Holiday Celebration on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15. Crossing Vineyards and seven other local wineries are hosting simultaneous shopping events with special deals, gift packages, wine accessories and seasonal and mulled wines. Crossing’s event will include live music and a visit from Santa.
There are no cover charges for any part of the weekend, and attendees do not need to sign up ahead of time. Crossing Vineyards is a family business founded by Tom Carroll Jr., one of the youngest wine producers in Pennsylvania, in 2002. It currently has 12 grape varieties growing on 20 acres.
The Holiday Sip and Shop will take place on Friday, December 13 from 6 pm to 9 pm. The Bucks County Wine Trail Celebration will take place on Saturday, December 14 and Sunday, December 15 from 12 pm to 6 pm at Crossing Vineyards in Newtown.
