Newtown theater to hold dinosaur-themed show

Diggery Digger's Dino Adventure will visit the Newtown Theatre in March to teach children about dinosaurs.

Diggery Digger's Rock' N Roar Dino Show is an event where families can watch a high-energy performance and participate in a fun-filled program. The show follows Diggery Digger as he accidentally takes the audience back in time with his DinoSauroScope 3000. The performance will feature puppets, animated characters, dinosaur bones, and magical elements. The intended age group for the dino show is children from pre-kindergarten to the fourth grade.

The company behind Diggery Digger's show is The Story Ship. The organization was founded by Sean Driscoll, a professional performer who has participated in residency programs in several states, like Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. The Story Ship has created numerous shows, including The Great Pirate Race, The Circus King, and Critter Tales. The organization's performances explore subjects like math, science, language arts, and storytelling.

The dinosaur show will take place on Sunday, March 24th from 4:00pm to 5:30pm. Doors to the performance will open at 3:00 pm. General admission to the event is $32 per person, though children and members of the Newtown Theatre can purchase their tickets at a discount. All guests must pay a $2 renovation fee with their ticket purchases. Theatres such as this can advertise their kid-friendly shows with flyer printing services.
