The Easter Bunny will be stopping by in a few weeks to hide eggs for the Newtown Business Association’s annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The first National Bank and Trust of Newtown has donated 3,500 plastic eggs. In addition to the candy in those gaily decorated eggs, there will be more than 500 prizes that have been donated by other local NBA members.
Children will be divided into age groups in order to make the event safe for the littlest ones. The adults and grandparents will not be left out either, as their hunt will also be part of the activities. Participants are asked to bring a nonperishable food item. which will be donated to the Lower Bucks Food Bank.
The Easter Bunny will be there to greet the children and pass out hugs. Little ones may want to have a picture taken with the rabbit so parents will want to remember to bring their cameras. Children and the Easter Bunny always make suitable subjects for pictures that the association can take to their brochure printers.
For those people wanting to donate items or money for the hunt, the deadline for prize donations will be March 20. The hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 28, at 9:00 am at Pickering Manor North Field, 226 N. Lincoln Ave, Newtown. The rain date is March 4, 2015.
