The Aark, our local Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center, will be holding its annual fundraising event called ‘The Enchanted Evening with Wildlife’.
The evening will have hors d’oeuvres catered by Just Food. There will also be live music, beverages and a silent auction. Couples can get their pictures taken in the TapSnap photo booth. Such pictures might be used for company Brochures, Presentation Folders, or even personalized Stationery.
During the evening, guests will be able to meet animals that are presently at the center and talk to their handlers. Attendees are asked to wear cocktail attire. Guests can also watch Derek Weidman, a world-famous artist, create an original piece during the evening and then they can bid on it at the silent auction.
VIP ticket holders will get champagne, an auction preview, and extra time with the animals and their handlers.
For those who cannot attend the function, there is another way to support the wildlife center. Donations can be made to provide food for specific animals in the center. One level provides for three abandoned nestling birds, another for food and care for one month for one hawk, and others provide the same for three orphaned raccoons and an orphaned beaver.
The Enchanted Evening with Wildlife will this be Saturday, February 25 at the Rose Bank Winery, out on Route 431, at 258 Durham Road, Newtown, starting at 6:00 pm.
