Fall is a time for outdoor fun, and a nearby farm has everything from picking apples and selecting your own pumpkins, to getting spooked at a HorrorFest.
Apple Fun Days will include picking apples, wagon rides going to the pumpkin patch, and meandering through the Corn Maize. There will be a BEARS playground, inflatable amusements such as a slide, a moon bounce, and giant jumping pillows.
Following Apple Fun Days will be Pumpkin Fest and Pumpkin Fest after Dark. The daytime Barn of Horrors Jr. and Alien Invasion Jr. will be a lot less scary than on HorrorFest nights and will be for little ones. There is a Spider Web Climb and a pedal go-cart track. Pig races and other live entertainment are only on weekends. Newtown little ones will be in costumes and having their parents take pictures for family Calendars and future poster printing.
Horrorfest will begin the Halloween season. Attractions will be a 3-D Alien Encounter, Maze of Carnage, the Barn of Horror and Hayride of Horror. Actors at each attraction will enhance the chilling effects. There will be live music onstage, as well as karaoke and bonfires.
Activities will be at Shady Brook Farm, 931 Stony Hill Road, Yardley. Daytime events will be from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm starting September 16. The evening ones begin on September 30 and go on the weekends through October.
