Newtown book lovers, or other locals looking for something to do this weekend, may want to attend the Newtown Library's Book Lovers’ Party.
The evening will give library patrons an opportunity to socialize with other like-minded people, and help to support a worthy cause.
The party will be both a celebration and a fundraiser to help support the Newtown Library Company. It will feature hors d’oeuvres along with music and dancing and, of course, the annual Book Lovers’ Raffle (for assorted gift baskets and Gift Certificates). Those who attend will get a chance to talk to not only library personnel, but other prominent members of the local community and other bibliophiles about not just the library, but also their favorite Books.
Those that plan to attend may want to have business card printing done ahead of time to be sure they have enough Business Cards for sharing with others, or perhaps have flyer printing done for distribution to help publicize the event.
The party takes place tomorrow, February 20, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Atrium at Stocking Works, 201 S. State Street, Newtown. Tickets will cost $60, or $55 for members of the library. Raffle tickets will cost $10 each and can be paid in various ways including PayPal. Gift baskets and certificates will be provided by local businesses.
