Later this month, local antique car fans will have the opportunity to attend the Newtown Business Association (NBA) Antique and Classic Car Show. Spectators can get in free, and more than 7,000 of them are expected.
The event will be open to vehicle models from 1900-1989. More than 200 cars, trucks, classic vehicles, muscle cars, street rods, and sports cars will be on hand. Judging will be carried out by a panel of experts who will make a decision based on a set of clear guidelines.
A trophy will go to the Best Car in Show, and a further 12 classes. For those who wish to enter their cars, preregistration is $15, but by the middle of the month it will rise to $25. Entrants can register at the door on the day of the event. Car owners might want to contract with local Print companies to have banner printing done to identify their vehicle and offer some background information for visitors.
Promoting Newtown as a great place to do business, shop, work and live is the mission of NBA. Any business associated with Newtown is invited to join and take part in NBA activities.
The car show will be held July 20, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm on State Street, in Newtown. The rain date will be July 28.
