June is not that far away, so everyone can start looking forward to CenterCity Danbury’s annual celebration of culture and arts, the 2020 Danbury Street Festival.
As always this summer kick-off event will be kid-friendly. Vendors – including food trucks, crafters, innovators, artists, cultural performers, and musicians – can now apply for the upcoming event. Some food vendors usually offer free samplings of their products. Craftspeople and artists are asked to bring original work.
Event organizers will have photographers taking pictures that will be included in the advertising brochure printing for next year’s festival.
Visitors may park in either the Bardo Garage on Library Place or at the Patriot Garage at 21 Delay Street. Parking rates will be $1.50 per hour. Danbury Street Festival is scheduled for June 6 from noon until 6:00 pm on Main Street.
The spring Connecticut Master Chorale Concert, that was initially to be presented March 29 has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 13th. Dave Brubeck’s “To Hope! A Celebration” will be part of the afternoon’s program along with “I’m Gonna Sing” by Andre Thomas, an arrangement of spirituals. Tickets can be purchased from members for $20, and $25 tickets can be purchased at the door.
