Danbury gets the blues

The Portuguese Cultural Center (PCC) of Danbury will be hosting Blue Fest 2026 for multiple days in early March.

Blues fans will be treated five days of local, national and international jazz performances. Headlining the PCC portion of the broader regional blues circuit will be Suicide Three, playing blues and alternative blues. This group is known for its guitar-driven, high-energy blues interjected with modern elements.

The venue will also feature merchandise tables, and community booths with local sponsors and PCC cultural displays. Amenities will include a full bar, Portuguese-inspired food such as soups, pastries, and grilled meats for purchase, and both indoor seating and standing areas.

Along with the Center's professional concert-grade audio and in-house lighting, the festival promoter will be bringing in additional equipment to further enhance the audience's music experience.

Blues Fest 2026 is a nationwide major year-long blues festival circuit divided into four tiers – international, national, regional, and local blues events. Danbury Blue Fest 2026 will be a regional promoter-run affair.

Promoters for festivals like this often get their flyer printing done a few weeks in advance and place Flyers in local music shops, around the neighborhoods, and in other places of business that promote jazz.

Blues Fest 2026 here in Danbury will take place March 3 through 7 at the Portuguese Cultural Center, 65 Sand Pit Road. Doors will most likely open around 5:00 pm and the event should wind down around 11:00 pm. Tickets will range from $20 to $40.
