University to hold art fundraiser

Danbury’s Western Connecticut State University Department of Art will be presenting its annual Off-The-Wall Art Exhibition & Fundraiser towards the end of February.

WCSU Department of Art alumni and faculty, along with regional and local professional artists, will donate 100 pieces of art to WCSU's Westside Campus Gallery at the Visual and Performing Arts Center, 43 Lake Avenue, Extension. Patrons may view the artwork during regular hours from the end of January to February 24.

Stationery printers often get special permission to have photographs of artwork shown in events like this to use on their notecards.

Tickets will be available for the Off-The-Wall Art Exhibition & Fundraiser. Each ticketholder will receive one of the 100 artworks, so there will be exactly 100 tickets available. General fundraiser admission will be $25 and will include food, refreshments, and fun, but not the artwork.

Limited to 90, each $100 participation ticket will include refreshments, food, and one work of art. The $200 Ultimate Experience tickets are limited to 10 and will not only include the refreshments, food and one piece of art, but will add two VIP tickets to either a theatre or music performance at the Center during the upcoming spring or fall seasons.

Off-The-Wall Art Exhibition & Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, February 25, from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
