Town ready to go to the kids

Anyone here in town who is connected with children, or who may want some of their own in the future, will want to attend the upcoming Fourth Annual Danbury Kids Expo. The day will be an event to inform, educate, and entertain. Admission fees will benefit the American Cancer Society.

The day’s schedule includes activities such as a magic show and hands-on events, such as face painting and interactive dance demos. Children can enjoy train rides, live animals, balloon and sand art, and games. They can sit for caricatures then burn off energy in the bounce houses.

Educational displays and exhibit booths will allow children and their accompanying adults to experience products and services available today for children. At one booth, families can plan a Disney vacation, while at another they can look over math materials and supplemental products. A third booth will teach families how to make their homes more energy efficient.

After attending performances, kids can learn to break boards, and get information about the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation, which teaches martial arts. Venders will want to get their Business Cards updated. Parents can also register their children with the Amber Alert system.

The event is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, running from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Danbury Sports Dome, 25 Shelter Rock Road, Danbury. Children under the age of two will get free admission.
