In just a few weeks, Danbury golfers will be able to enjoy an afternoon on the course while contributing to the local humane society.
DAWS, the Danbury Animal Welfare Society, will be holding its 1st Annual Drive for DAWS Golf Tournament. That’s 18 holes of golf on one of the premier courses in Connecticut.
The cost will be $150 per player, which includes entry fee, lunch, and reception/dinner. Danbury Audi will be offering a prize for a hole-in-one—a lease on an Audi AS Cabriolet for three years. Other contests will be held on special holes along the course, and there will be a silent auction as well. With networking often a part of events like this, the tournament should be a great opportunity for exchanging digital Business Cards.
DAWS has been in operation for 40 years. Its main focus is finding homes for local animals and improving their lives. So far this year, DAWS has found homes for 140 dogs and puppies and 75 cats and kittens. Volunteers are always welcome and donations of kitty litter, kitten food, and bleach are especially needed at this time of year.
Registration begins 11:30 am on the day of the event. However, pre-registration is available online. The event will be held Wednesday, July 23, at Richter Park Golf Course, 100 Aunt Hack Road, Danbury, with the shotgun start at 1:30 pm.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
