Danbury end-of-summer events are continuing to go online. These will include Danbury Music Centre’s 85th Anniversary Virtual Celebration in mid-August, Charter Oak’s monthly Trivia Night and an author talk in September.
Danbury Music Centre’s 85th Anniversary Virtual Celebration will honor the Summer Strings Director - Larry Deming and Albert Montecalvo the Summer Bands Director. The program will also include performers and guest speakers. A silent auction will be held online, as well.
The event may be viewed on the Centre's website and via Facebook on August 16 from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm.
The Virtual Trivia Night Program at Charter Oak will go on Facebook as a live stream event at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, September 2. Interested parties can register their teams at the Danbury Library website in order to be included on the public scoreboard, or just sit back and answer the questions on their own.
Author and CT State Historian Walter Woodward will be giving a talk on Zoom on September 17 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm. He will be discussing his book Creating Connecticut; Critical Moments that Shaped a Great State. Registration on the Danbury Library website will be required, and viewers will get the link via email. The event will be free.
