Festival of Trees returns to Danbury

Ann's Place will be bringing back its annual Festival of Trees in late November.

Danbury locals are signing up to decorate artificial trees for this year's fundraiser. Those donating trees under three feet tall will receive two general admission passes, while those donating trees taller than three feet will get four passes to the event. A panel of judges will be deciding winners in best in show, best use of materials, most festive, most whimsical, best Christmas representation, and most clever idea categories.

Guests that attend this year's three-day event can look forward to entering the grand raffle for the trees and decorations they want. Attendees may also bid for donated items, from window washing services to kayaks. The grand prize will be $2,000.

Local artisans will be selling original handmade items, and specialty merchants will be vending everything from woodworking to jerky. Artisans at events such as this often put custom seasonal Business Cards in with purchases.

Live entertainment will include dance troupes, magic acts, and music. Kids from the ages of three to eleven will have their own Children's Winter Village with activities such as coloring, holiday crafts, face painting, and photos with Santa and friends.

Festival of Trees will take place Friday, November 22nd from noon to 7:00 pm; Saturday, November 23rd from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; and Sunday, November 24th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at The Summit at Danbury, 100 Reserve Road.
