Easter Bunny has busy schedule in Danbury area

As Easter approaches, the Easter Bunny will be busy appearing in multiple places around the area over this weekend.

This Saturday, April 1, he will be leading little ones from three years old to twelve at Newtown’s Dickinson Park Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Preregistration is required for the four timeslots, which are 9:30 am to 10:00 am, 10:15 am to 10:45 am, 11:00 am to 11:30 am, and 11:45 am to 12:15 pm. The fee is $5 per child.

A free hunt at Ridgefield’s Ballard Park will also be a stopping point for the Bunny this Saturday. He will be meeting children and having them collect eggs beginning at 11:00 am.

Tarrywile Park and Mansion here in Danbury will have a Macaroni KID Bunny Trail Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 2 from 1:00 pm to 5:0 pm. The Easter Bunny will leave eggs filled with candy and toys at stations along the trail. He will also leave a special message that will be spelled out with letters found at the stations. At the end of the trail, he will be waiting to have pictures taken with the little hunters. Goodies Bags filled with Easter- and spring-themed activities and crafts will be given to each child as they leave. The Bunny Trail will cost $15, and preregistration is required.

Pictures taken with the Bunny often go to local Stationery printers to become custom Easter cards.
