Danbury is gearing up for plenty of holiday festivities toward the end of November and on into December.
December 5th, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, Stew Leonard's Danbury 30th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration will have dancers, a local school band, fire trucks and face painting, hot cocoa and cookies for the kids. The event will be free. Stew Leonard's is located at 99 Federal Road.
Everyone will want to reserve Saturday, December 7th for the Danbury's 3rd annual Light the Lights Winter Festival. Presented by the City of Danbury and CityCenter Danbury, the four-hour event will feature Mayor Roberto Alves lighting up the downtown area and the 40' holiday tree, Santa's firetruck arrival and parade, and free hot chocolate and cookies. Guests may be able to get a jump start on their holiday gifts by visiting local vendors. The venue will have a holiday aura with live entertainment and holiday music.
Families that take pictures of their family members enjoying events like this in early December often take the photos to nearby Stationery printers to become the pictures used for their Holiday Cards.
Light the Lights Winter Festival will take place in Downtown Danbury from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
Stew Leonard's will also have a Breakfast with Santa and other costumed characters. The buffet-style breakfast will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit and other breakfast goodies. Children may do a make-and-take holiday craft. This event has been scheduled for Saturday December 14th and 15th from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.Get a Free Quote for Holiday Cards Get a Free Quote for Stationery
