Danbury theater gets nostalgic

The Palace Danbury here in Danbury will be beginning its new year line of shows with four tributes.

A Great Big Doo Wop Revue Band The Corvettes will start the year with 1950s and 60s solid gold songs including "Runaround Sue," "Rock Around the Clock," "Earth Angel," and "Still of the Night". The Corvettes will take to the stage Sunday, January 12th beginning at 3:00 pm.

Winslow, an East Coast Eagles tribute band, will be bringing deep cuts, and the iconic group's greeted hits. They will also do some of Joe Walsh and Don Henley's solo work, and a cappella harmonies found in "Seven Bridges Road." Not only emulating the vocals, they will also tackle the dueling guitars found in "Hotel California." Winslow will perform Saturday, January 25th at 7:30 pm.

On Friday, February 7th at 8:00 pm, A Laural Canyon Retrospective, Dustbowl Revival will bring back memories of the folk-rock's golden era with hits of groups like Crosby, Stills and Nash, Joni Mitchell, the Mamas and the Papas, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles, CSNY, The Byrds and Carole King.

The ultimate Michael Jackson experience will be performed by Joby Rogers UMX with dancing and music of the "King of Pop" on Sunday, February 16th beginning at 3:00 pm.
