Individuals, families, and local businesses will be supporting the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center by attending and sponsoring two upcoming fundraising events.
This starts with Shamrockapalooza 2023, which will feature four bands – traditional Irish music from Nora Hanley and Friends, ‘70s and ‘80s new wave and rock from Guy Tino, harmonica and guitar folk/Americana from Don Lowe, and ‘70s and ‘80s classic rock by The Knockoffs.
Donations will be $15 and include a free beer and raffle tickets for prizes donated by local sponsors.
Shamrockapalooza 2023 will take place July 22 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Greater Danbury Irish Cultural Center, 6 Lake Avenue.
Many are also looking forward to the 2023 Greater Danbury Irish Festival coming on Saturday, September 23 from noon to 10:00 pm, and Sunday, September 24 from noon to 6:00 pm.
The event will feature Irish food, dance, and music, along with a kids’ fun zone and Irish vendors.
Vendors at events such as this often have special graphic designs (in this case, green and gold Celtic harps), printed on their purchasers’ Bags and on their Business Cards.
Sponsorships are available at levels ranging from $150 up to $1,500.
The 2023 Greater Danbury Irish Festival will take place on the City Center Green, which is at 11 Ives St. Admission will be free.
