Danbury supports holiday fundraiser

Danbury will have an opportunity to support a local favorite charity in mid-November.

The 21st Annual Ann’s Place Festival of Trees will return with a forest of more than 200 Christmas trees available for purchase, a crafts fair, gift shops, and high-end raffle prizes. Prizes for the Grand Raffle will include $1,000 Amazon and Apple gift cards, Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra tickets, TVs, and a handmade doll house.

A special Friday Night Sip, Stroll & Shop event will be held on the first evening (Friday, November 17) from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Guests may shop, enjoying nibbles and a free drink while listening to music provided by Swingset. Tickets are $15.

Other entertainment will be jazz, chamber singers, and a Polynesian dance troupe on the Saturday, along with the Bluesyland Band during the evening. Sunday’s entertainment will include a high school choir. A Children’s Winter Village will feature coloring, face painting, Lego, holiday crafts, and photo opportunities with Santa. Photos taken early in the season will still have time to go to local Print shops to be included in annual family newsletters.

Ann’s Place Festival of Trees will take place on Friday, November 17th from noon to 7:00 pm; Saturday, November 18th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; and Sunday, December 19th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at The Summit at Danbury, 100 Reserve Road. General admission is $10.
