The upcoming Taste of Greater Danbury will mark the end of the 10-week City Center Concerts on the Green music festival that has been taking place over the last few weeks and will be continuing until September. The two-day event will have family entertainment, games, live music, and local food and merchandise vendors.
If attendance is anything like the last few years, there will be between 15,000 and 20,000 people enjoying the music from the City Center Danbury Green stage, as well as the food and atmosphere.
Nonprofit organizations will have booths with members who will be passing out information, Flyers, and Brochures about their services.
The fun will begin September 10 at noon and continue until 10:00 pm. It will resume the next day, September 11, at noon and run until 7:00 pm. The event will be Downtown on Danbury Green here in Danbury.
For those yet to see the concert series, some groups yet to perform are Wooden Horse (a tribute band that covers Crosby, Stills and Nash), a Chamber Music Intensive Music Festival, Danbury Drum Corps, Limelight (a tribute to Rush), and Abby and the Roasters, which is a Danbury-based classic rock band composed of local talented middle school kids. Those people who are interested can check times and dates on the City Center Danbury website.
