Danbury Music Centre – which houses the local Symphony Orchestra, Center Strings (a prep group), Community Orchestra, and Concert Chorus – will be presenting its third annual Walk Run Bike Dance 5K FUNdraiser in a few days.
A virtual event for this year, participants can walk, run, bike, or dance for 30 minutes to complete the equivalent of running a 5K. Along with supporting the Danbury Music Center programs, the event goal is to just have fun. After completing the 5K, participants are encouraged to upload videos and pictures of themselves taken at their finish lines.
These videos and pictures will be entered in a raffle. Some of the prizes will be gift cards from local restaurants such as the Black Angus Grill, Vyne Restaurant & Bar, Texas Roadhouse, and Puerto Vallarta, and businesses such as Athlete Source and Master Golf.
Registration will be $25 per individual, and sponsorships supporting a participant will be $10 and $25.
Navy blue T-Shirts sporting this year’s 5K pink and white graphic design will be available at registration for $10. They can be picked up after April 21 at Danbury Music Centre.
A live post-race Zoom celebration will have drawings for prizes, and a montage of the DMC 5K. Information will be sent to those who submit pictures and videos.
The Danbury Music Centre’s 3rd Annual 5K FUNdraiser will be from April 17, beginning at 8:00 am, to April 25 at 5:00 pm.
