Next week, the Danbury library will be presenting Steam Fair Robotics Expo, making a day dedicated to engineering, math, art, science, technology, and – new this year – robotics.
As in the past, the event will be free, and this year’s event is expected to exceed last year’s 2,200 attendance.
More than 30 exhibits put on by local artists, creators, craftspeople, makers, inventors, and companies will have activities for all ages. Some of the displays will have interactive demonstrations, inventions, 3D scanning, and printing, with those involved likely to be handing out digital Business Cards.
Middle school and high school VEX Robotics teams from around the state have been invited to display, demonstrate, and scrimmage their robots. Teams and those supporting them may want to bring lbanners to cheer their groups on during the scrimmages. Food trucks will also be at the location. The event will also have live music.
The hours will be 10:00 am to 5:00 pm next Saturday, May 14. The event will take place at the Danbury Library and Hackerspace at 170 Main Street, Danbury. Parking will be limited at the library, so the parking lot at City Hall (155 Deer Hill Avenue) will offer free parking. Parking on the street will cost $1 an hour, or the Patriot Garage at 21 Delay Street will offer parking for $3.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards
