Danbury Library is continuing to enlighten the community with virtual lectures in January and February.
From 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 19, the library will present a virtual program titled “Nuremberg: Trial of the Century.” Historical research editor and historian Mark Albertson will give an informative talk on key elements of the Nuremberg Trials. He will further discuss the trials’ impact on international law and international legal issues that arose afterward.
Another virtual program is scheduled for Thursday, January 28 from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm. This talk will be “Artificial Intelligence in Everyday Life.” Members of Yale Science Communication will be discussing how computing can help find cancer cures, understand and share feelings and emotions through music, and play chess.
On Wednesday, February 24, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm, “100 Years of Black Music in America” will be presented as a live virtual performance. Kiarus Trapp will educate, enlighten, and entertain as he goes on an interactive musical journey from spirituals and jazz, to rock and roll, continuing on to black music of the ‘70s and ‘80s.
