CityCenter Danbury will be holding its annual Danbury International Festival at the end of July and an Italian festival toward the end of August.
The Danbury International festival will celebrate our community's multicultural heritage, and guests may look forward to performances of local and international music and dance artists. Local food trucks and vendors will be selling global cuisine, and local art and craft vendors will be selling unique handmade items.
Danbury groups, clubs and associations will be displaying cultural exhibits, art displays, and conducting workshops, and family-friendly activities depicting traditions and heritages from around the world.
Danbury's 3rd International Festival will take place Saturday, July 27th from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the Danbury CityCenter Green, 1 Ives Street.
The Green will also present the 4th annual Feast of San Gennaro and Antonia Chieffalo as this year's Grand Marshal. The five-day festival will feature Italian music, food, cultural festivities and fireworks.
Attendees can enjoy carnival rides and performances by artists singing traditional Italian songs. Evening concerts will be given by Beyond Purple, The Zoo, Not Sorry (classic rock) and Back in Black (AC/DC tribute band). Evening skies will light up with 80's themed laser shows -Laser 80's on Friday, Metallica on Saturday, Pink Floyd on Sunday and fireworks.
The festival will begin August 20th and run through August 24th.
