Danbury goes to museum gala

The Danbury Museum Gala 2025 will be held toward the end of February.

Danbury Museum and Historical Society will host a gala fundraiser called "History, Mystery & Magic" to raise funds to continue its educational efforts and preservation programs.

A cocktail hour beginning at 6:00 pm will have drinks, raffle baskets, and a roving magician. Dinner will follow. Tickets will be $125 for Tuscan chicken or vegetarian meals, and $150 for steak dinners. All meals will come with seasonal vegetables, and there will be an open bar stocked with both wine and beer, along with dessert.

Local musicians will be playing a mix of classical favorites from Beethoven to Mozart and other composers. The guest speaker will be Don Wildman from the Travel Channels 's "Mysteries at the Museum" and his podcast "Cities of the Underworld". He will be telling secrets and stories about exhibits and artifacts found in American museums. This will be followed by a short speaking segment.

Five sponsorship levels are available and may be purchased by contacting the museum. They include recognition at the event, admission tickets, and ads in the program. Events like this often go to local Print shops for their programs.

Cocktail attire is required for the Danbury Museum Gala, which will take place on Friday, February 28 from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Amber Room Colonnade, 1 Stacy Road.
