Local students are invited to attend the annual Danbury College and Vocational College Fair coming in just a few days.
The fair is offered to acquaint students with offerings from colleges across the region, answer questions, and offer advice where requested.
For30 years, the fair has been held in local venues and serves high school students across Eastern New York and Western Connecticut. This year, approximately 265 schools will have representatives at the fair (most offering Presentation Folders) from both two- and four-year colleges, and that includes specialty schools such as nursing, technical, and vocational schools. There will also be licensing specialists on hand to help potential students understand which programs and tests are needed to work in certain professions.
All high school students are welcome, not just seniors. Guidance counselors from Danbury High School will also be at the fair, as will members from the Armed Services, College Board members, and Financial Services representatives. Spanish-speaking counselors will also be available. Any student planning on attending any type of school after graduating high school is urged to attend.
The Fair will be held Monday, October 19, at Danbury Fair Mall, 7 Backus Avenue, Danbury, from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. A complete list of participating schools can be found on the Danbury High School website, each with a link that will take them to more information.Get a Free Quote for Presentation Folders
