Business events are going ahead despite COVID challenges, starting with the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce holding its 2020 Annual Meeting online tomorrow.
Anthony Rizzo, Board Chairman, will give a state of the Chamber address and board members will be selected. Mayor Mark Boughton will speak a few words and Dr. John Murphy will be the keynote speaker.
The virtual event will be tomorrow, October 15, from 8:30 am until 10:00 am.
Also, Brookfield Chamber of Commerce will hold its 14th Annual Gala in-person in mid-November. The gala theme will be “Celebrating Our Town.”
One Plug Entertainment and Dan’s Garage Band will provide the music for the evening. There will be both silent and live auctions.
The evening will be replete with gourmet cuisine and an open bar. Entre choices include grilled filet mignon, Atlantic salmon, seared marinated duck breast, and roasted vegetable tower.
Couples can take advantage of a photo booth. Pictures taken at events such as this often go to local Stationery printers to be made into personalized note cards.
Many businesspeople here in Danbury may be going to this event with Business Cards to do a little light networking. The event brochure printing will include recognition for the Champion ($250), Bronze ($750), Silver ($1,5000, and Gold ($2,500) sponsors.
The 2020 Brookfield Gala will take place on November 13 from 7:00 pm until 11:30 pm at the Candlewood Inn, 506 Candlewood Lake Road, Brookfield. Tickets are $100 per individual and may be purchased on the Chamber’s website.
