Anns Place presents annual Festival of Trees

This year’s Danbury Ann’s Place Annual Festival of Trees has been scheduled for mid-November.

The event will be a wonderland of decorated trees, entertainment, shopping, and raffle prizes. This year’s theme is “Bring Back the Magic.”

Groups and individuals are signing up to donate handcrafted trees with themes such as favorite places, music groups and loved ones. Businesses can create their trees using their Logo Design. Donations of trees or other creations three feet and under will receive two admission passes to the festival while donations of three feet will get four passes. On average, over 200 trees are donated annually.

Raffle tickets for these trees and other donated items such as window washings and kayaks are available for purchase in 25, 75, and 175 groupings for $20, $50, and $100 respectively. Winners can pick up their prizes Monday following the conformation calls made on Sunday night.

Entertainment, including singing and dancing, will be performed every hour and an online auction will have donated items up for bid. In lieu of congested play areas and craft tables, children from ages three to eleven attending with their parents or guardians will receive take-home Bags containing fun activities and crafts.

A Festival of Trees Marketplace will offer handmade and artisanal gifts for those getting an early start on their holiday gift shopping.

Festival of Trees will take place November 19, 20, and 21 at The Summit at Danbury, 100 Reserve Road.
