Avon residents seeking a fun day on the links should make a note in their Calendars, as a fundraising golf event is being planned for the region.
The 2024 Toys Fore Joy Turkey Shoot is ready to welcome golfers and spectators next month. The event will offer golf, food, drinks, and a memorable day of golfing with friends. The event’s proceeds will benefit local children and ensure that underprivileged youth can enjoy the joy of the holidays.
The Tunxis Country Club is planning and organizing the fundraiser with the goal of purchasing over 1,000 gifts for those in need. The golf event will allow teams of four to hit the links and play for an excellent cause. Banner printing is an effective way to promote event sponsors while creating photo opportunities for the winning teams when receiving recognition.
Registered golfers will enjoy a golf cart, 18 holes of golf, access to the range and putting green, and complimentary drinks and refreshments. In addition to registration costs, guests will need to bring a new, unwrapped toy with a minimum value of $15 as a donation for the toy drive.
The turkey shoot will be held at the Tunxis Country Club on Saturday, November 9th, with golfers starting at 9:30 AM. Golfers can register online for $49 per player or $196 per team.
