Tennis tournament announces fundraising

Avon’s tennis players will have an opportunity to participate in a friendly competition in a neighboring town, with the money raised supporting a nationwide health movement.

The Rally for Her Heart Tennis Night with a Purpose competition has been announced for next month, allowing tennis players in the Avon area an opportunity to have fun with friends while bringing awareness to the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women campaign. The campaign aims to bring to light the challenges associated with heart disease and how it affects women in the United States.

Tennis players and their family members can attend to raise money and awareness to bring change. The event will provide a setting where players can enjoy time spent together while showcasing their skills. Events like this are ideal for sponsors and other local businesses to make positive impressions through banner and poster printing.

Participants can use the round-robin tournament to stay active as the weather gets warmer. It is open to men and women of all skill and experience levels. Food and beverages will be available to both spectators and players to ensure an enjoyable evening for all.

Racquets for Life, located on Hopmeadow Street in nearby Simsbury, is set to host the tennis tournament on Friday, May 22nd, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Player tickets are $65, and spectator tickets are $28.52 online.
