Golfers looking for an opportunity to hit the links for a good cause will want to save the date, as a charity golf event is coming to the Avon area.
The Connecticut Section PGA Foundation Charity Classic is just a few weeks away, and golfers allowing local golfers to dust off their clubs and shoes for a fun day outdoors. It is the host venue’s most important fundraising event of the year, and golfers of all experience levels, from amateurs to professionals, are welcome to get involved.
Each group that wants to play will pay a participation fee, which includes a day of golf, a complimentary lunch and dinner, and gifts upon registration for the golf tournament. Golfers will be entered into raffles with the opportunity to win unique prizes to take home. Banner printing is an excellent way to promote such events while welcoming spectators and participants to the golf course.
All proceeds from the event will go towards growing the game of golf in support of youth, special needs, and veteran golfers in the community by allowing them access to PGA professionals.
The golf event will be held at the Hartford Golf Club in West Hartford on Monday, May 19, just a little over five miles from Avon. Registration opens at 10:45 AM. Online registration costs $400 per golfer.
