Art Journaling workshop offers creative exploration for young minds

Young minds are invited to unleash their creativity and embark on a journey of self-discovery in the upcoming art journaling workshop, "Bee Yourself." Hosted by AFPL Children’s Programs, the event promises an afternoon of artistic exploration and imaginative expression.

Art journaling is a unique form of self-expression where participants create Journals that incorporate colors, images, patterns, and various materials. Unlike traditional written Journals, these art Journals allow kids to express their thoughts and emotions visually and creatively. Some Journals might be filled with intricate drawings, while others could contain a mix of images and written words, making each journal a personal and meaningful masterpiece.

The program, specifically designed for children entering grades 4-6, will walk participants through the process of developing their art Journals. Young people can explore their creativity, practice mindfulness, and engage in creative self-care in a secure environment.

Each attendee will receive a journal to keep at home so they can continue their creative journey after the session. Organizers of events like this can use printing services to Print the art Journals for the attendees to take home.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, September 13th, 2023, from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. It will take place at the Children’s Art Studio, located on the 2nd Floor of the Avon Free Public Library, 281 Country Club Road, Avon, Connecticut, 06001.
