A showcase of singing talent is in the Avon area next month, bringing several schools and groups together to perform for judges and a crowd.
The 2025 Wyvern Invitational A Capella Festival has a start date that music enthusiasts can circle in their Calendars. The event is New England’s largest a capella competition at the high school level with several schools traveling to compete.
The competition is being organized by Team Tabati, a group focused on raising money for medical supplies and access to education for children in Tabati, Paraguay. The funds raised from ticket sales will benefit this group.
Several schools will be competing in the singing competition, including The Kingswood Oxford School, Miss Porter’s School, Conard High School, and the Springfield Academy of the Arts. Flyer printing is an effective and affordable way to generate excitement and raise awareness of such events, increasing attendance and money raised.
There will be awards that go to the best performers and teams throughout the competition, including the Gold Citation, Outstanding Male and Female Soloists, and Outstanding Student Director. Spots are limited, and interested parties from Avon and other nearby areas are encouraged to make reservations while spots remain.
The competition will be held on Saturday, January 25th, from 6:30 PM until 9:30 PM at the Kingwood Oxford School’s Roberts Theater, Hartford. Tickets are available online for $20 per person.
