Award-winning band to play Longmont

An up-and-coming band is set to visit Longmont soon.

Denver Westword gave the Gasoline Lollipops their “Best Country Band” award twice, while the Colorado Daily handed their “Best Local Band award to the outfit three times. Clay Rose, the band’s front man, says his parents are an “outlaw, truck-driving father” and a “country song-writing mama.” Perhaps unusually with this background, the members are not strict country music artists, but have set a course of their own, blending Southern rock and soul into a style the Denver Post called:

“Uncompromised, vicious, and authentic.”

The venue is unique, as the Gasoline Pops are appearing at The Bee Hugger Farm. The farm sells honey, and welcomes visitors to explore freely, feed the animals, climb on tractors, and have a picnic. There is no entrance fee and reservations are not required, but donations are appreciated.

Health protocols in effect at the time of the concert must be followed. All the money raised will go to the event and the band, as well as a non-profit that will be chosen during the concert. Important information can be provided to guests at events like this when flyer printing is used to create handouts.

The concert is set for July 8 at 6.00 pm, with doors open at 5.00 pm. Everyone is welcome, including well-behaved children, who are free if they are under 12. However, pets should be left home, and there is no smoking in the venue.
