Mia Karter Productions is the organization behind The Winehouse Experience, with Karter performing both Winehouse’s original material, and some of the covers she performed during her career.
The Winehouse Experience recreates a live Winehouse concert complete with choreographed singers backing the soloist, a horn section, and Karter’s interpretation of the energy Winehouse brought to her shows. The group currently has nine members, all of them veteran performers.
Audiences can expect to hear hits like “You Know I’m No Good,” “Me & Mr. Jones,” and “Rehab,” along with some of the classics Winehouse covered, like “I Heard It Through the Grapevine” and “It’s My Party.” A review says:
“What an amazing show with so much talent! Truly amazing! Way to honor the wonderful Amy Winehouse!”
In her short career, Winehouse sold more than 1.75 million singles and almost four million albums in the U.K., and approximately 3.4 million tracks and about 2.7 million albums in the U.S. Her second album, “Back to Black,” was No. 1 in the U.K. and No. 7 in the U.S., and was rated either Gold or Platinum throughout the world.
The Winehouse Experience will be at the Music Box on May 19. When events like this are planned, organizers often contact printers who use poster printing techniques to create advertising for the show.
