McGuffie’s Live will be the venue for a concert featuring three tribute bands to legends of grunge. Endless, Nameless is a tribute to Nirvana, Jeremy the Wicked is a tribute to Pearl Jam, and The 005 covers the hits of the 1990s and 2000s.
Endless, Nameless formed in 2004 and is based in Southern California. The band comprises frontman Bill Myers, together with longtime pals Mike Lopez and Eric Valentine. Lifelong fans of Nirvana, the musicians are raw, real, and play without backing tracks, giving the audience the vulnerability, volume, and total chaos that Nirvana made their own.
Endless, Nameless, plays material from the entire Nirvana catalog, balancing deeper cuts with iconic songs everyone knows. The group has played throughout the Los Angeles area at venues including The Whisky a Go Go. A review says:
“. . . their live shows are a cathartic experience for both die-hard fans and newcomers alike.”
Jeremy the Wicked is a San Diego-based tribute band for Pearl Jam. Their performances take audiences back to the 1990s Grunge scene. The group is known for their harmonies, high energy, stage banter, and their track-free shows.
Grunge Night is February 14 at McGuffie’s Live, 8515 Navajo Road in San Diego. When they book shows like this, organizers can support them by using poster printing to create advertisements for the event.
