Popular tribute band to visit San Diego

A tribute band to one of rock’s most iconic live acts is coming to San Diego.

Led Zeppelin changed music history, and became known for their extended jams and improvisation, so that no two performances were ever the same. Their musicianship and versatility make it difficult for a tribute band to recreate their shows accurately. However, Led Zepagain manages that feat.

Led Zepagain formed in 1991 in Ventura, California. Since then, they have been described as the most authentic and accurate tribute band to Led Zepplin performing today. They have been downloaded from iTunes more than a million times and have been mentioned on television shows like “Chicago Fire” and “The Gilmore Girls.”

Perhaps most importantly, Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin’s guitarist, heard them in Los Angeles in 2004 and said:

“It’s amazing how much you sound like us. You must have grown up on this because you were inside the music . . .I can tell you guys really love our music!”

In 2007, Page invited them to attend Led Zeppelin’s reunion concert in London, and Jason Bonham sat in with Led Zepagain in 2009. They have toured worldwide, making stops from Japan to Argentina.

A review says:

“. . . Led Zepagain . . . [is] a shockingly good facsimile of the live show of quite possibly the greatest live band in history.”

Led Zepagain will be at the Music Box on January 23. Advertisements created by organizers using poster printing can help publicize events like this.
