San Diego to host tribute to pop icons
A tribute band for the best-selling group in music history is on the way to San Diego.
The Liverpool Legends are the aptly named tribute band for The Beatles. The group comprises four world-class actors and musicians who were personally selected by George Harrison’s sister Louise to recreate the original, record-smashing band.
Liverpool Legends have won international acclaim during their world tours, which have included appearances in the United States, South America, India, Ukraine, Israel, Canada, Mexico, and Europe. They have performed in such celebrated venues as the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, the Rose Bowl before 50,000 people, Busch Stadium, The Cavern Club in Liverpool, and Carnegie Hall.
They have made recordings at Abbey Road Studios in London, the same studio The Beatles used, and their work on “Fab Fan memories – A Beatles Bond” brought them a nomination for a Grammy.
Statistics illustrate their popularity. The Pollstar chart is the industry standard for ranking the top 75 live world tours weekly, and the Liverpool Legends have been listed in that chart four times.
