Judy Collins is on tour, along with Amanda Shires, and the two will perform at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay. Judy Collins is one of the most influential artists in music, with a career that goes back almost seven decades. In 1961 she released her debut album, “A Maid of Constant Sorrow.”
Critics had always recognized the exceptional quality of her voice, but it wasn’t until “In My Life,” released in 1966, that she put a single, “Hard Lovin’ Loser,” on the charts. Her real breakthrough came with the next album, 1967’s “Wildflowers” and its lead single “Both Sides, Now.” The song was by Joni Mitchell and it gave Collins international stature.
Collins’ career includes an Oscar nomination and a Grammy win for “Both Sides, Now.” She has released a total of 36 studio albums and has never stopped performing. A review says:

Amanda Shires, like Collins, is a singer/songwriter as well as a fiddle player. She has dropped nine solo albums and is a co-founder of the supergroup known as The Highwomen, along with Natalie Hemby, Maren Morris, and Brandi Carlile. She, with Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, won a Grammy for “The Nashville Sound,” their 2017 album.
