Thomas Papa can be found on the radio, television, and on the big screen in addition to performing stand-up comedy. He is the host of “Come to Papa,” heard on Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and co-hosts “What a Joke” with Fortune Feimster, also on Sirius. Papa was the host of “Baked,” which was shown on the Food Network.
A native of Passaic, New Jersey, he began his career in stand-up comedy in 1993 in New York City, where he played open mic gigs and hosted shows at the Stand-Up New York comedy club. He met Jerry Seinfeld at New York’s Comedy Cellar and subsequently toured with him. In Montreal, he performed his one-man show, “Only Human,” at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival.
He has recorded both specials and an album, “Calm, Cool & Collected,” which dropped in 2005. His specials regularly appear on Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu. His latest projects are the film “Air,” released in 2023, and the 2022 Netflix special “What a Day!”
A review says:
“Papa’s work is always well refined and cerebral. He’s the everyman comic who has seen it all and communicates that well to audiences and other comedians.”
Tom Papa will be at the Balboa Theatre on Saturday, February 24. Organizers of events like this will often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
