A special activity is planned for one day only in San Diego.
Urban Adventure Quest has developed life-sized board games, and has two—in this case, scavenger hunts—planned for San Diego. Participants can choose either Balboa Park or Old Town for their adventure.
Teams can consist of from two to five people, with one acting as “Quest Master.” This person will be responding to the clues and posting information back to the Urban Adventure website. Anyone looking at the website will see a colorful, whimsical logo, the result of good Logo Design.
The game is interesting and educational. The group meets at a designated starting point, and then receives a clue they have to follow to solve a puzzle. Once they have done so, they input the answer, and if correct, are given the next clue. They then proceed to use that to find the next location, where they have another puzzle to solve before they move to the next spot. If the distances are excessive, they may be directed to public transportation. As they play, they learn about various parts of the city, and some of the history, they may never have enjoyed before.
The game is scheduled for Valentine's Day, February 14, 2021, and the game can start any time of the day participants like, though it is suggested they begin early enough to finish before dark. One game usually takes about three hours to finish. Anyone interested can sign up online.
