Il Divo is a male quartet created by TV personality Simon Cowell on behalf of Syco Music. The group has an international membership, which is thought to be part of its appeal. The original lineup was Carlos Marin, a Spanish baritone; David Miller, an American tenor; a tenor from Switzerland, Urs Bühler; and a French baritone, Sébastien Izambard. Marin passed away in 2019 and was replaced by Steven LaBrie, an American baritone.
All of the members have training in classical voice except Izambard, who is a pop singer. The group has eleven studio albums to their credit, with the latest, “XX,” released in 2024. They have had enormous success with their recordings, selling more than 30 million records worldwide. Their debut album, “Il Divo,” was the No. 1 album in the UK, Canada, the Netherlands, and Australia, and No. 4 in the United States. It was labeled as Gold or Platinum in nine different countries.
Their smooth vocal stylings are complemented by their physical appearance, as they wear Armani, recalling the elegance of bygone eras. A review of Il Divo says:
“Was the most wonderful night of my life. I’ve waited almost 20 years to see them live. Worth it every second.”
Il Divo will be at Humphreys Concerts By The Bay on July 14. Organizers of shows like this will often use poster printing to create advertising for them.
